Self-evident, Obvious

German: Selbstverständlich

Common meaning:
Obvious, taken for granted, requiring no explanation.
Clear meaning:
That which carries itself—not because it is understood, but because it appears inseparable from itself.

Selbstverständlich = self + understandable.
But in clear structure, the “self-evident” is not what is agreed upon—
it is what needs no agreement.

It is not obvious because it is explained.
It is obvious because it is undeniably coherent.
It holds not because it is believed,
but because it is being itself.

True self-evidence does not ask to be understood.
It simply never needed to be otherwise.
