Reflect
German: Reflektieren
Common meaning:
To think deeply, to contemplate; or to bounce back (as in light or image).
Clear meaning:
The turning of form back toward the perceiver—not insight, but orbiting what cannot be held.
Reflect comes from reflectere—to bend back.
It appears thoughtful, insightful.
But in structure, reflection is not illumination—
it is recursion.
It doesn’t reveal what is.
It shows how thought returns to itself.
Reflection is the mirror loop of identity
trying to see more clearly—
but still looking through its own face.
Real seeing does not reflect.
It dissolves.
