Awareness

German: Gewahrsein

Common meaning:
Awareness, conscious perception of what is happening or present.
Clear meaning:
The uncentered, spacious being of seeing—not observation, but the end of the one who observes.

Gewahrsein is not attention.
It is not directed.
It is not something you do.
It is what remains
when there is no longer anyone trying to hold, interpret, or name.
Awareness is not awareness of.
It is awareness as.

No grasping.
No positioning.
No reflection.

Just the still, open field
in which all arises
and nothing needs to be known.
