A story, account, or narration of events that creates meaning or continuity.
Clear meaning:
The structured illusion of sequence—not memory, but the construction of time to stabilize a sense of self.
Erzählung = telling, from zählen (to count, to order) + -ung (process).
So at its core, narrative is an act of measurement—of organizing raw experience into a shape that identity can hold.
It is not what happened.
It is how meaning is assigned to what appears.
In clear structure, narrative is not deception.
It is scaffolding.
But when taken as reality, it becomes a loop.
Freedom begins when the story no longer needs to be told
to explain why you are here.
