Awakening
German: Erwachen
Common meaning:
Waking up; becoming conscious or spiritually aware.
Clear meaning:
The falling away of the one who experiences—no transition into a new self, but the end of the structure that called itself “I.”
Erwachen = er- (emerge) + wachen (to be awake, watchful).
Conventionally, it implies growth in awareness or enlightenment.
But structurally, awakening is not becoming more aware.
It is the collapse of the identity that sought awareness.
It is not a light turning on.
It is the recognition that there was no darkness—only attachment to form.
True awakening is not from a dream.
It is from the dreamer.
