Receptivity
German: Empfänglichkeit
Common meaning:
Openness, ability to receive, sensitivity to influence
Clear meaning:
The absence of inner motion—not passivity, but the undisturbed space in which things may enter.
Receptivity is often mistaken for weakness, or a passive waiting to be filled.
But structurally, it is strength without structure—
the space in which nothing is rejected, and nothing is controlled.
Receptivity is not “taking in.” It is the condition in which nothing must be filtered..
It is not soft.
It is undefended
Not: “I receive.”
But: “There is nothing in me
that prevents what is.”
