Empathy

German: Empathie

Common meaning:
The ability to feel with others; to emotionally identify with another’s experience
Clear meaning:
The quiet resonance with what is—not a reaction to emotion, but the recognition of self in the expression of another.

Empathy is not:
“I feel what you feel.”
It is:
“I am not separate from what you express.”

Structurally, empathy is not emotional echo—
it is a state of permeability,
where the field offers no resistance to another’s signal.

Empathy does not arise from understanding,
but from non-separation in sensing.

Empathy is not mirroring pain—
it is the remembrance:
“Your pain is not outside of me.”
