Unconditional Love
German: Bedingungslose Liebe
Common meaning:
Love without conditions, love that persists regardless of what happens.
Clear meaning:
The absence of the structural premise of separation—not love without limits, but love without two.
Unconditional love is often seen as a lofty virtue—
the ability to love despite disappointment.
But structurally, condition (from Latin condicio—an agreement, arrangement) implies a framework, a structure that separates and defines.
And unconditional simply means:
that which no longer plays by those terms.
Unconditional love is not an effort.
It is not patient endurance.
It is what remains when there is no self left to protect,
and no other left to receive.
It cannot be earned, lost, given, or taken.
It simply is—because nothing is apart from it.
